A new textbook, «Ancient Eastern Philosophy», has been published in Turkmenistan, issued on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and intended for students of higher educational institutions in the country.
The textbook was prepared by Alym Salyhov, a teacher at the Department of Social Sciences at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
The textbook provides detailed information about ancient Eastern philosophy, which is a large and unique layer of world philosophy. The role and importance of ancient Eastern philosophy in the life of society is emphasised, and the history of its origin and development is described. The author analyses philosophical teachings, revealing their meaning, interrelations, and important problems.
The textbook is aimed at forming a scientific worldview, philosophical culture, and creative thinking in future specialists. This publication, intended for university students, as well as all interested readers, is one of the first books prepared on the topic of «Ancient Eastern Philosophy».
The new textbook was published as part of the large-scale work being carried out in the country to improve the quality of education and bring the national education system up to the level of world standards, as well as updating the curricula of universities in this regard, improving the teaching of important social sciences, including philosophy.
