From June 22 to June 26, 2025, a delegation led by the President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan A.Ashirov visited the cities of Riyadh and Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

During the visit, a scientific conference devoted to the life and work of the great thinker and classicist of the East Makhtumkuli Fragi was organized together with the Scientific Center named after King Abdulaziz.

The scientific conference was attended by representatives of the state institutions of culture and science of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, famous science and art, and representatives of mass media.

As part of the event, a bilateral meeting was held with the leadership of the Scientific Center named after King Abdulaziz.

In the Scientific Research Center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Magtymguly – the Sage of the World” was also held.

On June 25, 2025, as part of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Mecca, the members of the delegation got acquainted with the work of the “Haram al-Mekki al-Sharif” Library and the Museum of the Holy Quran.
