The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, together with the Ozone Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, conducted a specialized course for new service recruits on the prevention of illegal trafficking of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons.

During the training at the Arkadag city customs office, the recruits get acquainted  with international standards and legislation that regulate trade in substances that destroy the ozone layer. Particular attention was paid to methods for identifying and preventing illegal supplies of these dangerous substances to Turkmenistan.

The training included both theoretical and practical parts, becoming a part of a broader program to improve qualifications and strengthen Turkmenistan’s international cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

"Education and training of new employees is an important part of our work, especially in such important areas as environmental protection. We are pleased that this course has become a real platform for knowledge sharing and professional development," said the director of the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
