A mass 3600-meter race entitled "Sport is the Key to Peace and Trust" was held in the capital of Turkmenistan. Students from higher education institutions of the country, students from comprehensive secondary schools and representatives of the older generation from Ashgabat took part in the race. The goal of the event was to attract broad sections of the population to systematic physical education and sports, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.

In the competition among girls, the winner was a 5th-year student of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan E.Esedova with a result of 14 minutes 33.8 seconds, and among the boys, the winner was a 3rd-year student of the International University of Oil and Gas P.Babanyyazov, who ran the distance in 9 minutes 22 seconds.

In the schoolchildren's race, the first to cross the finish line among girls was a 6th-grade student of Ashgabat Secondary School No. 76, A.Seydullaeva. Her time was 15 minutes 49.5 seconds. And among boys, the best result was 13 minutes 12.2 seconds, shown by a 7th-grade student of Ashgabat Secondary School No. 74, O.Orazmyradov.

Among the fans of a healthy lifestyle, the first place among women with a time of 17 minutes 15 seconds was taken by V.Baeva, and among men - by a resident of the Garadamak residential area S.Saparov, who covered the distance in 11 minutes 52 seconds.

The winners of the mass race and other distinguished participants were presented with valuable commemorative gifts.
